IOWA FALLS – Randy Lee Off, age 75, passed away early on Aug. 2, 2026, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls, Iowa, surrounded by his wife and children. His passing ended a long struggle with Parkinson’s Lewy body dementia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. Burial will follow in St. Mark Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. Randy was born on June 29, 1951, in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was the oldest of three sons born to Jacob and Miriam (Voigt) Off. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School with the Class of 1969. While in high school, Randy was active in FFA. He was also active in the Boy Scouts of America in his youth.

On Oct. 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Frances Osborne at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union, three children were born. The family remained in Iowa Falls, where Randy had a long career in the construction business. He was a thirty-plus-year employee of Prestressed Concrete (now Rinker). Randy worked his way up in the company, starting with tying steel on the casting beds in the heat of summer and the cold of winter. Over the years he became knowledgeable about almost every aspect of the operation. By the end of his time with the company, he had moved to the office, where he handled transportation safety and delivery scheduling for a large portion of the Midwest.

Always a good provider, he was involved in his children’s childhood activities, whether in sports or the Boy Scouts. Bicycling became a big part of his life; it became a passion he shared with his wife and children. He rode hundreds of miles each year in all kinds of weather. He loved organized bike rides and participated in more than two decades of RAGBRAI riding with family and friends he met over the years. His Klein road bike was his most cherished material possession. Giving up cycling due to health issues was a tough blow. He filled the void with new interests, such as working at the college gym, taking long walks with his beloved beagle, Scout, and traveling. Highlights of his travels included multiple trips to South Dakota with the grandkids (no parents allowed); trips out West with family and friends; time spent at the North Shore; hanging out at Sloppy Joe’s in Key West; and visits to Old Quebec, the Caribbean, England, France, and Italy.

His greatest joy was being PaPa to his five grandchildren attending their activities, sharing bits of wisdom, and teaching them “new skills.” A yearly highlight was the Fourth of July wiffle ball tournament, parade in front of Edgewood, and picnic in the backyard. Randy modeled character and empathy for others; he had a quiet, abiding faith in God and his Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

In addition to his wife, Frances, he is survived by his sons, Christian (Jennifer) and Andrew; daughter, Emily McNeal; grandchildren, Jacob and Samuel Off, Maggie and Marshall McNeal, and Ivan Off; brothers, Jim (Teri) and Steve (Jodi) Off; father-in-law, Samuel (Liz) Osborne; uncles, Harley (Harriet) Off and Larry Off; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Renee) Osborne and John (Sherry) Osborne; sister-in-law, Leslie (Greg) Horwitz; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Mary Pieper; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Osborne.
