Obituary

ATLANTA, Ga. – Pamela Sue Schwieger Ausman passed away March 25, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Pam was born and raised in Iowa Falls in a busy household with three brothers. She loved returning to Iowa Falls for class reunions and visiting friends. Pam was an educator earning a master’s degree, teaching in the classroom, and later, while working for Merck Pharmaceuticals, she was responsible for educating doctors about the latest in drug research. Pam and her longtime partner, Dan, lived in the Atlanta area. They enjoyed traveling throughout the US and Europe. Pam loved being near water, whether walking around the pond near their home, at her condo in Florida, or at Clear Lake, Iowa. Pam leaves behind her partner, Daniel Hayes, and their cats in Georgia; her brother, Brad (Cathy) Schwieger, in Ohio; three nieces, one nephew, great-nieces and nephews; and many beloved cousins.
