James Palmer, 59, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Scenic Manor, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Funeral services for James Palmer will be 10:30 am Wednesday, September 8th at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday also at Linn's Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date. James Kirby Palmer was born November 22, 1950, at Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of Gladyce Marjorie [Stockdale] and Arthur Kirby Palmer. He attended the Iowa Falls Community Schools graduating with the class of 1969. He went on to attend Ellsworth Junior College, Iowa Falls, and Iowa Central Community College. Jim worked for Maytag, Webster City, Iowa for many years. He was a member of the Art Guild, Webster City, Iowa.

Jim Palmer is survived by his mother: Gladyce Edel of Iowa Falls; his brothers and sisters: Gary [Linda] Palmer] of Iowa Falls, Sharon [Vernon Dale] Caruth of Iowa Falls, Rita Widman of Iowa Falls, and Barry Edel of Iowa Falls. He was preceded in death by his father: Arthur Palmer (1950).
