How does one begin to summarize these past 35+ years? I graduated from the University of Iowa and taught high school/junior high Spanish for about 7 years in Illinois and Marshalltown, IA. Then we moved back to Iowa City in 1984 and I've been working in the Office of Student Financial Aid ever since. I was married to a great husband, Gary, for almost 27 years. He died of cancer in 2004. We have one married daughter who lives in Austin, TX. Besides work, I keep busy with friends, exercise (Mrs. Gough would never believe it!), golf, baking, scrap booking, reading, endless hours online, genealogy, traveling to visit my siblings who all live on the West Coast, volunteering at my church, going out for coffee, and shopping! In the "small world" department, I bump into Linda Bakas and Ann Gough fairly regularly since they both live here, too. And, Mr. Corbin (Chuck) and his wife Gloria live across the street from me! I look forward to hearing from other members of Class of '69! |
