- Victor "Vic" Allen of Alden, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 1, 1994,
at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital Tuesday evening from injuries received
from a farming electrical accident. Services were held at 11:00 AM,
Friday, Nov. 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with
burial in North Lawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls. Rev. John Augspurger
officiated.
Vic was born Dec, 15, 1950, at Hampton to Robert E. and Doris Quivle Allen. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1969 and attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. On January 16, 1970 he married Linda K. Woods in Iowa Falls. He farmed northwest of Iowa Falls and worked part time for the Iowa Department of Transportation and part- time trucking. He was a Past Noble Grand of Acturus Lodge No 100, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and a member of Lee Center United Methodist Church, rural Iowa Falls. Survivors include his wife, Linda; a daughter, Michelle Allen of Sterling, Illinois; a son, Ryan, of Greenfield; his father, Robert E. and step-mother, Edna Allen of Iowa Falls; one sister, Barbara Fritz and husband, Francis, of Iowa Falls; and one brother, Darrell Allen and wife, Rita, of Iowa Falls. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank D. and Jenny Allen and Henry and Lynda Quivle; and his mother, Doris Allen. Linn's Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements. |
